CAT 330 Z-line Excavator (upgrade)
For our client Zeppelin Group (formerly PON Equipment B.V.), we recently realised the first battery upgrade for this CAT 330 Z-line.
This crane is often used for heavy-duty work in hard-to-reach locations in civil engineering. With an 836 kWh onboard fixed battery capacity, the machine is operational for a full working day — without the need for intermediate charging.
New Electric designed and engineered a completely new battery for this, built from the modular cell level. As a result, we make optimal use of the available space, without compromising on user-friendliness or sightlines.
The batteries are also equipped with our unique active cooling system, which ensures efficient temperature control under all conditions. This guarantees stable performance, increased safety and a longer service life — even with intensive use or high ambient temperatures.
We are currently working on capacity upgrades for another four identical cranes.
