New Electric is a developer and system integrator of complete electric powertrains for high-quality electric vehicles. We were founded in Amsterdam in 2008 and have converted vehicles, vessels and heavy equipment to 100% electric. We have done this by developing a drivetrain that is suitable for every machine or application and is seamlessly integrated.

Turn key Electric powertrains
All types of vehicles, vessels and heavy equipment can be electrically powered. Each vehicle has specific requirements in use. We design a tailor-made solution specifically based on the user characteristics of the machine. We are increasingly realizing small seriously so that the investments for design and engineering can be divided over several machines.
Energy storage
Energy storage is the key to a sustainable future. We realize tailor-made battery solutions. If a battery configuration becomes complex (large) or needs to be installed in special areas, we provide the greatest added value.
Certification services
Electric powertrains are only applicable if they meet certification requirements specific to the intended environment and use. We provide guidance on component selection and arrange on-site testing for EMC, ECE and IEC compliance, certificates valid in all EU countries.
An emission-free future
We believe that electromagnetic propulsion is the key to our emission-free future. We reuse, recycle and re-energize machines for a new generation by electrifying vehicles, vessels and heavy equipment. By doing this we also create green and clean jobs in our region and help the Netherlands to make all construction sites emission-free by 2030!
Full integration and tailor-made
Engineering
New Electric consists of a unique team with electrical, mechanical and software engineers. Together with our customers, we design a new type of electrification. How much diesel does the machine use, what are the desired working hours of the machine and what are the charging options are important starting points.
Build
At our new production facility in Breukelen we have all the options to realize complete turn-key electrifications.
The complete electric drive consists of the electric motor, the battery pack and seamless software and hardware integration with the existing machine systems.
Certification
Our electric powertrains are packaged and installed according to EMC and road safety guidelines. We design custom units with specific requirements for projects with multiple of the same models. All our electric powertrains are sold as ready-to-use products.
Training & Service
This is often new for the people who will be working with the new electrical machines. By providing workshops on electrification and training on the safe use of the machine area, we ensure rapid acceptance at work. By getting to know our users, we also achieve short lines of communication, which makes collaboration pleasant.
Our experience
New Electric Engineering started converting a speedboat to 100% electric in 2008 so we could go water skiing. We have been converting all types of vehicles, vessels and heavy equipment for 15 years. From classic cars to tractors, from yachts to tugboats, with a total weight of 100 tons, that sail without diesel emissions in the canals of Amsterdam.
