Electrifying some machines is challenging. Electrifying a milling machine is in a completely different league.

At New Electric, we love technical challenges. And this project undoubtedly belongs in a league of its own.

On behalf of Freesmij, we are currently building a fully electric Wirtgen W150Fi milling machine. A machine that must deliver top performance under severe conditions while being able to operate emission-free.

That means we are not just replacing a diesel engine with an electric motor. Our energy system, in which power, battery capacity, charging infrastructure, thermal management and reliability work together perfectly, is being applied here.

Precisely why projects like these are so important. They show what becomes possible when a forward-thinking client and an innovative technology partner share the same ambition.

For Freesmij, this represents the next step in making their machinery fleet more sustainable.

For New Electric, it is further proof that electrification now goes beyond the ‘easy’ applications. Even the heaviest machinery in the construction and infra sector is coming within reach.

The machine is currently in our workshop in Breukelen and the transformation into the NE-W150F-e milling machine is well underway.

We look forward to sharing more of this special project soon.
